Founded in 2000, ZWAE has grown from a small business with 17 employees to become a leading manufacturer of high- and extra-high-voltage disconnectors in Poland.

Roots in tradition:
The history of ZWAE dates back to the 1960s and is linked to the activities of Kazimierz Szpotański, a pioneer in the field of electrical equipment manufacturing. The plant in Lębork, from which ZWAE originated, was part of ZWAR, a giant in this industry. In 1998, ZWAR underwent privatization, which soon led to the closure of the plant in Lębork. However, this meant a new opportunity for key employees. In 2000, eight determined engineers joined forces and established ZWAE.

The rise to prosperity:
The turning point came in 2006, when ZWAE acquired a leading manufacturer of resin insulators. This acquisition expanded the product portfolio and strengthened ZWAE's position on the Polish and European markets.
